Plextronics has hired Robert Kumpf as its new Chief Operating Officer.  Until recently, Kumpf was the chief administrative officer at Bayer MaterialScience.  He spent 25 years with Bayer where in addition to chief administrative officer in MaterialScience he was also an executive in the Polymer Division, Polyurethane Division and Plastics Division.

“Plextronics is positioned for tremendous growth and we need an accomplished leader to shape and grow our expertise in the development and manufacture of our electronic polymers and inks products,” said President and CEO Andy Hannah in a written statement. “Bob’s background in all facets of product development, manufacturing engineering, and production will ensure our success as a US manufacturing company serving the world.”
