ContainerShip raises $2.41M for their Cloud Automation Platform
ContainerShip, a service that aims to make it easier for developers to use Docker containers to develop and deploy their applications, today announced that it has raised a $2.41 million seed round led by Pittsburgh-based Draper Triangle Ventures.
ContainerShip was founded in 2015 by Phil Dougherty and Norman Joyner to make life easier for developers and operations engineers tasked with keeping the lights on and deployments rolling in a world of increasingly complex technology. Social, Mobile, and now IoT are changing the landscape of data center operations, and new solutions are required to be able to respond quickly to changes in the market, surges in traffic, and dev teams that are moving faster than ever before. With over 20 years of combined experience developing hosting infrastructure powering top 50 internet sites, and leading mobile commerce platforms, the ContainerShip team has a deep understanding of internet infrastructure and what it takes for DevOps teams both large and small to be successful.
