Aethon Strikes a $4M Deal with Mitsu

Robotics firm Aethon struck a deal with Tokyo conglomerate Mitsui and Co. as part of a roughly $7 million fundraising round. Mitsui is investing $4 million and the rest is coming from existing investors, including Draper Triangle. Under the deal Mitsui will take a stake in Aethon giving the robotics company a way to get into the Asian market and Mitsui will gain access to Aethon’s hospital-oriented product line, a market that Japanese company is eager to get into.
